It's that time of year, when a lot of people set New Year's Resolutions. And typically, these resolutions only last about 3 weeks (or less!).

So I thought it might be fun to look at the word "resolution." 

A resolution is about "resolving" to take some kind of action - to get something done.  But really it is about "solving" a problem that you may have been avoiding and/or coping with for some time. 

If you give up on your resolutions, in 3 days, or 3 weeks, or 3 months... what you are really doing is giving up on solving the problem, and deciding to live with the problem rather than correct it. 

But you don't have to give up on having a better life. 

If you start to think about giving up on your resolutions, remind yourself that there are very real, long-term and painful consequences to having the problem, but only short-term inconvenience involved in getting it fixed. 

By deciding to push through the short-term inconvenience, your problem can be gone for good.  And that is so much better than coping with it and thinking less of yourself for settling for what you don't really want.

The most common resolutions people have at this time of year are around losing weight, getting healthy and changing their income / lifestyle situation.  Shaklee can be the perfect solution for people in just those areas.

ON OPRAH... AGAIN and AGAIN and again and...

Yes, we were on Oprah again, for the FIFTH time in less than a year, as the Earth Day show was repeated on Friday, January 4. 

New members joined our group as a result of the show's airing and thousands of pounds of greenhouse gases and landfill waste has been saved as people switched brands to Shaklee's environmentally friendly Get Clean products.

WELCOME TO ALL NEWCOMERS who joined the Shaklee Family recently as members and distributors in our group!

Al, a fitness trainer and a firefighter, is now growing his Shaklee business with Cinch. Thanks to the Cinch Plan, he is now a total of 21 inches and 27 pounds healthier. He has dropped 11% body fat and 6 pant sizes!*

After meeting a Shaklee Member who was successful with the Cinch program, Al asked her about supplementation and she introduced him to her Shaklee Distributor, Susan Sherwood. SUCCESS STORY - Emily & Christopher Drager

I read about supplements and ordered them on the internet – and whichever sites I found the best deals. It occurred to me one day, however, that I had no idea where these supplements were made and under what conditions. I did not know about differences in manufacturing, but I knew I wanted to be assured of the quality of the products. I decided to attend an in-home at Larry and Wilma Rich's home and for the first time, learned about the Shaklee difference. In December 2006, Chris and I became distributors out of necessity-in order to offset the cost of his program (and to be able to go on a nutritional program of my own!)

Within a few months, we were making enough money from our bonus checks to offset our cost. I had met my goal! It was so fun that I made another goal – two of them, actually. I wanted to make director, and I wanted to quit my nursing job in order to spend my time working with people to achieve optimum health. I saw how different my husband was on these products. People need to decide for themselves what is best for them, but I am passionate about ensuring that they are fully informed and know the importance of taking care of their bodies.

We became Directors in April 2007 and Coordinators in July 2007. We are going on the cruise in February! My goal is to be "doing Shaklee"  full-time within the year. I became a nurse in order to empower others to be healthy. I did not imagine that I would find that fulfillment by quitting my nursing job, but life surprises you! Moreover, we can help! I love telling people about the Shaklee difference. We are created beings – doesn't it make sense to give our bodies natural and created substances and not those made in a chemical laboratory? I also feel blessed that technology has made it so easy for us to have this type of business. We do not have an excuse to be unsuccessful!
