Delaine Due, Senior Executive Coordinator, ORSenior Executive Coordinator and 'Shaklee kid' Delaine Due shares how the business her mother began provided a consistent income when she and her child needed it. In 2005, I was a single mother working four part-time jobs and barely making ends meet. When my mom died and transferred her Shaklee business to me, I honestly did not know what I was going to do with it. She had already registered and made arrangements to attend the 50th Anniversary Global Conference in San Francisco and I did not want to go anywhere just two months after she'd passed. But thanks to the encouragement from my Shaklee family and the Home Office team, I went in her place. After meeting Roger and seeing what Shaklee had to offer, I decided to dedicate five hours a week learning the business. In one month, I doubled the monthly income my mother had been receiving and saw that what she'd built, with only a high school education, was earning more than I was earning with a supervisory position that required a Master's Degree. Two months after the San Francisco Conference, I was able to quit one of my jobs and use the Shaklee income I was making to help make ends meet.
